How Much Does A Website Normally Cost?
The cost of a website will vary based on the size and scope of a project. Advance charges a flat rate based on the estimated number of hours needed to complete the job. Small business sites start at about $1,000-$1500 on average whereas larger websites range from $3000-$5000. Corporate websites with more advanced features can cost between $5,000-$10,000 and up. We will asses your needs and company goals and provide you a quote based on your budget.
How Long Does It Take To Complete A Website?
The time it takes to complete a website depends on several factors. Certain aspects of the job are controlled by the client regarding the project deadline. This includes how quickly clients provide us all necessary materials (images, text, file attachments, video, audio ect.) along with the number of revisions requested. We recommend 4-6 weeks for simple websites whereas more complex websites may take 2-3 months. The client will be provided an estimated completion date before a project begins.
Do You Provide Web Hosting And/Or Domain Registration Services?
Yes we provide web hosting for $14.99/month and domain name registration for an average of $20/year. Through our hosting service we take care of all setup and maintenance on our end. Our clients are also welcome to purchase their own domain and hosting if preferred where rates will vary. Should a client choose to use their own domain or hosting service, additional charges may apply for any technical assistance required.
Am I Required To Sign A Contract When Building A Website?
For smaller websites we provide our clients with a Project Agreement Form that outlines any major details of the job. This is signed off on by both parties before a project begins. Our clients must also read and agree to our terms & conditions page. For larger projects a more detailed contract may be implemented and can be reviewed by our client’s legal department as required.
What Is Your Refund Policy If I Am Not Satisfied With The Work I Receive?
Our refund policy is covered in detail under our terms & conditions page. We require our clients to read this document and approve it so they are fully aware of all Advance policies as it relates to any project.
Do You Require A Down Payment?
Yes we typically charge a 30% down payment to begin any web design project. The remainder is paid upon completion or in set monthly intervals if a client chooses a financing plan.
What Kind Of Payments Do You Accept? Is Financing Available?
We currently accept cash, cheque, credit card or e-money transfers. Please note there is a transaction fee of 3% when paying by credit card. Yes we do offer various financing options which will be discussed with our clients before any project begins.
Can I Update The Website Myself? Is Training Provided?
Yes all websites created by Advance allow clients to update their website independently. No software is required and updates can be done wherever you have access to an internet connection. More complicated updates as it pertains to the design and layout of a website however still need to be done by a professional. Yes we provide full training for our clients on how to update their website once complete.
What Do You Charge For Website Updates?
Advance charges a fee $40/hour for website updates. Most simple updates don’t require more than a couple of hours to complete. In unique circumstances we may provide a flat rate instead if agreed upon by both parties.
Are Your Websites Mobile Friendly?
Yes, all websites we create are responsive and built to work in all mobile devices including laptops, cell phones, ipads and tablets. Websites are also compliant with all major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Explorer and Safari.
Can You Set Up My Own Personalized Business Email Accounts?
Yes, once you’ve purchased a hosting plan we can set up email accounts as required. Please note that when using Microsoft Outlook or configuring your accounts through cell phones additional setup is necessary. For office or in home asssitance there is an additional hourly charge.
Do You Provide Printing Or Delivery For Your Graphic Design Services?
Yes we provide affordable printing services for all our graphic material including business cards, flyers, posters, postcards, brochures, door hangers and more. We also do deliver (at an additional charge) to clients in Calgary and most surrounding areas including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, Black Diamond and Balzac.
What Happens If There Is A Problem With My Order?
Our clients are required to sign off on a proof before any graphic design order is sent to print. Should any edits or mistakes be identified AFTER a client signs off on the proof no refund will be issued. If however there is any damage or quality issues as a result of the printer a full refund is provided.
What Is The Turnaround Time For Any Graphic Design Order?
We usually require 3 to 7 days to complete any graphic design job along with additional time for printing. Clients can pay for regular or express delivery based on their preference.
Do You Provide SEO Services And What Does It Cost?
Yes we provide SEO services through our various affiliate companies. The price depends on the number of keywords our clients wish to rank for along with the level of competition for each. SEO services start at $1000 per month and will vary based on the industry. For clients who do not have a budget for SEO we recommend Google Adwords or Facebook Ads as an alternative.
Do Your Offer Any Discounts Or Special Promotions?
We certainly do! Weebsite clients receive free hosting for a year when using our service. Website clients also get discounts on logo design, business cards, flyers and brochures. If you are a graphic design client only you receive an additional 10% off of every additional service you purchase. So the more you buy at once, the more you save.
