How To Convert More Website Visitors Into Sales 2025 (13 Deadly Tips!)

by | Jan 1, 2025

Are you getting lots of traffic to your website but are struggling to turn visitors into customers? Check out our 13 deadly tips on how to convert website visitors into more leads and sales!

Quick Load Times – If your website loads slowly you could be missing out on almost 30%-40% of your potential viewers. You want your website to load in under 5 seconds MINIMUM but ideally closer to 2 or 3. If you can get it to under 2 seconds or better you are a rockstar and will be rewarded.

Multiple Methods Of Contact – Some clients may prefer giving you a call while others may prefer text or email. Some customers may be most comfortable with an online chat session like Zoom or Google Meet instead. When you give your customers options you will hear from them much more often.

Relevant Images & Videos – Having nice-looking images and/or videos on your website is great. If they don’t help to effectively tell a story with your audience however they are decoration at best. Make sure any graphics on your website complement your text properly and make your intended message clearer.

Mobile & Ipad Responsive -. More customers than not will be finding your business through a mobile device. That means your website’s cell phone/iPad version should look as good or better than the desktop version. Otherwise, you are doing things backwards and your lack of sales will prove it.

Quality Relevant Content – Say your website had no visual elements whatsoever and you had to grade it on the written copy alone. What score would you give it honestly? If your answer is a C- or a D+ instead of a B+ or an A Google will rank your website accordingly in their search engine results.

Be Socially Active – If your social media pages are currently collecting cobwebs, Google will know it and view your business as inactive. Consistently post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest and more. It’s free, easy, and effective when and if you are consistent.

Prove your Expertise – Why are you the most qualified and trusted option for customers to choose you over your competition? Be sure to collect plenty of positive reviews, clearly list your credentials and experience, and make sure your blog page is loaded with plenty of helpful information.

Unique Point Of Sale – What is unique or special about your business that makes you stand out from everyone else? Figuring out your “unique point of sale” is the main reason new clients will contact you first or pass you by in favour of a better offer.

Study Your Competition – You may think you have a great website, fantastic content, and many good reasons for people to buy from you. If the business in the Google search next door is doing it better however, you’re still the bridesmaid and never the bride. Note your competitor’s strengths and weaknesses objectively and then make a plan to exceed those standards.

Make It Easy To Get Around – Make absolutely sure the key information on your website that customers will want to see most is easy to access. Don’t make things overly complicated in an effort to be fancy. Getting from point A to point B with minimal distractions should always be a top priority.

Clear Calls To Action – If you want someone to “call for a free consultation” or “schedule and online appointment” or ‘book an in-person service call” tell them this directly. Simply saying “contact us” is like going to a drive-through window and saying “food now” instead of “I’d like a cheeseburger, fries, and a diet coke please”.

Free Sharable Content – What’s something free you can offer to new customers that they can download or share for future reference? The right shareable content will keep you fresh in customers’ minds long term, instead of forgetting about you days later even if they were interested.
